Joint Medical Camp Brings Free Healthcare and Hope to Namungo Community

From 28–30 November 2025, the people of Namungo benefitted from a impactful community health outreach through a joint medical camp organized by Ipro Youth Empowerment Vile (IYEV) and RCCG Victory Centre Uganda (Branch). The three-day initiative focused on improving access to essential healthcare services while empowering residents with practical, preventive health knowledge—completely free of charge.

Free Medical Services for the Community

Throughout the camp, qualified medical personnel and dedicated volunteers provided free medical consultations, basic diagnostic tests, and essential medications to children, adults, and the elderly. Many beneficiaries, who otherwise face financial or logistical barriers to healthcare, were able to receive timely attention and treatment.

Services offered included:

  • General medical consultations
  • Basic health screening and medical tests
  • Free medications for diagnosed conditions

The high turnout across the three days underscored both the community’s healthcare needs and the relevance of the intervention.

Health Education for Long-Term Impact

In addition to clinical services, the camp placed strong emphasis on free health education. Interactive sessions were conducted to educate participants on:

  • Personal and environmental hygiene
  • Disease prevention and early health-seeking behavior
  • Nutrition, maternal and child health
  • Healthy lifestyle practices and general wellness

This educational component ensured that the outreach promoted sustainable health behaviors, not just short-term treatment.
